Slumber, my darling, thy mother is near,
Guarding thy dreams from all terror and fear,
Sunlight has pass'd and the twilight has gone,

The wandering dews by the flow'rs are caressed,

1826-1864 .   As we know lyrics are poetry, I chose the lyrics to this beautiful song to honor the lost innocent lives of the children and caregivers at Sandy Hook, and by extension all the innocent victims of this dangerous world.
     Please, if you can, listen to Alison Krauss sing this beautiful lullaby with Yo Yo Ma. You will find it to be soothing and brilliantly performed.
