This dust was once the man, Gentle, plain, just and resolute, under whose cautious hand, Against the foulest crime in history known in any land or age, Was saved the Union of these States.

                                                Walt Whitman  1819-1892

Commentary: This short work of Mr. Whitman is proof to all that man cannot rule themselves. It was "Four score and seven years"according to the speech of the man described in this poem, yes only 87 years since the founding of the United States, when the bloodiest war in it's history, The Civil War, turned brother against brother in carnage never imagined. Spawned by the practice of oppression of a different race of man, an obscene crime of humankind. It is a pitiful commentary that man has not yet learned, just look out your window... Further proof that man has only proved one thing throughout history, they are unitedly inept, they cannot tell their left from their right, as they travel the ongoing path of independence. (Jeremiah 10:23)
