Frost on the Window
Did you hear the rumor?
It began with some humor,
The frost on my window,
It spread throughout my house,
It was there on my true love's blouse,
Close to her heart, bulls-eye, a dart,
The words went flying, our love was dying.
They thought I couldn’t see,
My associates went about with glee.
They assumed it would not last,
The love we had, it was past.
How wrong they all were,
Our love as a great cat will purr,
Yes it will roar as the lion…
Love such as this is not put asunder,
Just remember when you hear the thunder.
Rumor, innuendo, frost on the window,
They may be there as an empty chair,
However the chair is soon filled,
The rumors are stilled.
