Jason Would Love To Swim
Jason would love to swim…
He felt all the hypocrisy would disperse
Each time his dive would break the surface of the lake…
Down under the mirror of the lake, there was no reflection…
Jason would love to swim…
He would descend, deep as his will would allow,
There at the bottom was found no deceit
No lies were ever found, in the murk…
Jason would love to swim…
Whenever his heart was pained by neglect,
He would swiftly stroke his way to the center…
To the center of the lake, surrounded by water…
The water would buffer him, he could not be reached.
Jason would love to swim…
It was the swim to shore that he feared,
Back on the land with the others,
Jason would love to swim…
But not back to shore…
Someday he thought: “I will just stay; I will swim my last swim”…
Jason would love to swim…
He thought the lake was his friend,
Jason needed to learn; to swim through life, with the others,
There among the hurt, can be found the love…
