I cannot begin or end properly.
I raised two wonderful daughters;
I have a wife that has entwined my heart...
The day I heard of the evil that came to Cheshire
I just gasped, I had trouble breathing, sleeping...
The thought of losing my girls, my women;
It was beyond my comprehension -
It has never landed anywhere in my being,
Yet the fact that a fellow father and husband
had to endure the evil that came that day,
has followed me ever since.
I would never say to Dr. Petit, "I understand",
All I can say is I'm so sorry that man can be so evil...
I hope someday to see Jennifer, Hayley, and Michaela...
I admire you Dr. Petit for continuing your life,
All I can offer you is my fellow feeling as a father
and a husband...
I share my hope with you that one day your girls
will be back here on Earth...

      The news of this terrible loss has altered my life, I wrote these words with the utmost respect,
I must say, I don’t think a day has passed that I have not thought of this tragedy…
