November
‘Twas November when we wed,
The summer slipped away.
Autumn splendor loosed the last leaf,
The month upon us began its slumber.
‘Twas soon to be dark, yes grey,
With coldness, starkness of winter scenes.
Still the slumber of November held a certain sweetness,
There was a calm, a peace.
A tranquil uniting of friends,
A significant fusion of trust, love…
‘Twas not slumber after all,
'Twas an awakening; newborn livelihood.
Our love will always expand,
'Twill transcend sorrow.
This love is profound,
United in November,
'Twill last forever…
