The Follow up Miracle
Would a second child somehow come with diminished joy?
Would there be a somewhat lesser sense of delight?
Would the anticipation of new life be slightly decreased?
Please consider a miracle: if we were to witness one,
Would we not want to behold another?
You see, each miracle has the same impact,
That is why it is a miracle…
My follow up miracle came with red hair,
She had a tiny little face; it took a while to behold it,
“Soft and sweet as a day in spring”, that is what her name means…
She was so petite; I would hold her to my chest,
We would search the sky for the moon…
There were some rough roads in the distance;
They were common roads; we braved them.
There are golden roads still ahead,
It is my desire to travel these with all my loved ones,
Including my red haired follow up miracle…
The one that loves so deeply…
