Three Diamonds
Some men forge in the darkness;
they descend deep caverns,
braving the formidable dangers of mines.
They take these risks to search for gems;
it is not just for the beauty...
It is for their enrichment.
I have not entered a mine,
nor have I searched in dangerous caves;
still, out of the darkness beauty has come...
These gems have surely enriched me,
they have a brilliant glimmer;
this shimmering light passes through skin...
It makes its way into my heart,
it settles there with once unknown warmth...
I treasure this warmth, may it never cool.
Yes, these are gems, these are diamonds;
Thomas, Luciana, Adonis;
My Three Diamonds...
