As you may be aware, I have on occasion mentioned on this site the need for plumbing contractors to attend continuing education. This is required every two years; I almost missed this year, I got into the last class! I avoided fines and other hassles. I was also made aware that plumbers and other trades are not the only ones required. I was working for an attorney who also had to attend. Of course teachers need to continue in their training. All of us should keep abreast of developments in our field.
    This leads me to talk about the horrific tragedy that took place in Newtown Ct. at Sandy Hook elementary school. I cannot even try to formulate the words to address this.There is no poem or prose that would achieve this. We all have to agree that it has changed life and living profoundly for the worst. I saw on the news today that teachers are now receiving as part of their 'continuing education', training in taking down a perpetrator. Combat maneuvers for kindergarten teachers. Profound indeed...
