In all of my years in the plumbing field there has been a recurring problem that needs to be addressed. Many times as families get smaller,you know, the "empty nesters" are left behind in a much larger nest than is necessary, there remain unused bathrooms. These unused toilets, tubs and showers still need to be used, at least once a week.Why you may ask; first it is good to keep them operational , it prevents them from seizing up and keeps gaskets working etc. However, the most important reason is to keep the traps from drying out and letting sewer gas and flies etc. into the home. This is vital for good health in the "nest", SO KEEP THOSE TRAPS FILLED!
