When folks need a plumber or an electrician, etc. they often will grab a phone book. They begin their search through all of the adds looking for something that catches their eye.Today many search on line with the same goal: find someone reliable to handle their problem.
Please be cautioned though, the best way to find a reliable service tech is usually by word of mouth. Ask a friend or relative who they have used, were they satisfied, was the price reasonable? Remember when you see a large add on line or in the phone book those companies have spent thousands of dollars to advertise there. It is not a stretch to think the price of the ad will be added to the rate of service. Also remember: it is your right as a consumer to see the license of the tech that comes to your house. ( see newsletter of 9/10 for full review of this)
As an example: I have had very loyal customers for decades, the problem is sometimes I am out of town. At one of the rare occasions when my customer could not wait for me to return they were forced to use the phone book. They called one of the major companies in the plumbing field. The result was: the job was done promptly, however, they were charged $350.00 for a job that I would have charged $150.00 for.
This is just an example of what could possibly happen when searching for a service tech.
Always use "Word of Mouth" as your first course of action.
Thanks, J J.
