I know after these years of reading my web site you know I tell it like it is. Yes there is an exploding toilet out there. It is a product from Gerber plumbing, with a Sloan power assisted tank. If you have one of these units please open the lid and read the serial number. Call the 800 number listed on the tank and give them the serial number. These toilets have exploded and caused bodily injury, (allegedly).
The Gerber co. will give you instructions as to a remedy. Also know there is a class action lawsuit in place. You never know what is possible in this field of plumbing, all in all it has served us well, save a few explosive commodes!
