Sure there are tears as I look at the screen I am typing on , it's a detail that my dad would have pointed out to me, you see, the more I think of my Father, the more I realize he was a man of detail. This was obvious, to a fault, as he taught my brothers and I how to be plumbers. You see, he had a booming voice, and at times he would use this as a tool to teach- I don't recommend this method , my Dad knew this, yet he would never be able to shelve this tool, it was who he was , so we learned...
A funny story was the time I thought the fire whistle in the 'Valley' was one last bellow from him at the end of a long day of 'training'. It is the other part of my Fathers detail oriented way that endears me to him. He always showed care, honor and concern for those around him. He took care of us all in a tireless way. He had a terrific sense of humor, his smile was unique
to him, I loved it , even when he was beating the pants off me when we played Gin together. I just want whoever I can tell to know that my Dad was a detailed and special man. What I love the most about him is how he loved my Mom, Mary. it was as steady as the beggining of the days we lived together. It was just a part of our life as a family , this example of love and loyalty cannot be measured , it can only be absorbed... I love you Father, We will take care of your wife, your Mary...
