It is very easy to take some things for granted; as an example, we get in the car and expect it to start when we turn the key, we know to look at the gas gauge to see if we need to fill it, etc. We are also aware of the scheduled maintenance that is required to keep the car running well. As a rule most of us keep up with this. This month’s newsletter is important because there are things in the home that we may not realize are necessary scheduled maintenance. In the coming months we will point out some vital things. This month as the title reveals we will talk about well water testing.
Did you know that it is recommended to test the purity of your well water every two years? Some may wonder why, “the well has been safe for many years”, they may say. However the water systems underground are ever changing. The use of pesticides; construction in the region of the well; the spillage of fuel or leeching of septic systems are all threats to the purity. The test is relatively inexpensive, about $140.00. It can be done at a local lab that specializes in this service; it is a simple test that is well worth the small investment. So find out if you can answer “Yes!” to this month’s newsletter question, don’t delay, water purity is vital for good health.
Thanks, JJ
