Many folks have enjoyed my poetry and plumbing efforts. I have been questioned about my name choice-"Joe the Plumber Poet". As almost everyone knows there has been a man in the media for some 3 plus years who goes by "Joe the Plumber". First of all his name is not Joe, second he is not a licensed plumber! I in fact am named Joe, Joseph James Luciano, I am a licensed plumber (P1204063)and I also write and publish poetry! That is why I use "Joe the Plumber Poet"!
             I do have a little story about the moniker "Joe the Plumber Poet". It was actually given to me by a fellow writer we will call A. A. He was kind and took an interest in my poetry; he encouraged me to continue to write. On May 13Th 2008 he signed one of his early poetry books "To Joe -the Plumber Poet of Hamden", that was 3 months before the impostor hit the news, I began using it and will continue to.Because it's who I am and what I do!
       I would also like to add that I am politically neutral- man cannot rule man.
            This poem came to be with that thought in mind:
       
                                 Politics
           Were I a fragment of the sun
           I would be the brightest one.
           Had I the pull of the moon
           I would persaude the monarchs
           To cause no ruin.
           Ah but I am just a man,
           In this world so content with misery,
           I am an also ran...

 p.s. The first "Joe the plumber" I ever knew was "Josephine" on the old Comet cleanser commercials in the 60's!
