“House calls? Of course plumbers make house calls!”

    Years ago it was very common for doctors to visit people’s homes to take care of their patients. There was a certain charm attached to it. In fact I was actually saved by my pediatrician due to an allergic reaction to penicillin. She came to my house when I was 2 and saved my life! We all know that very few doctors make house calls anymore. For obvious reasons however, plumbers still do, of course we do! You can’t take your pipes and fixtures to us! There is a nice feeling when you realize that some things don’t change, there are some “in home” services that must continue. I especially enjoy working in older homes with original plumbing fixtures. There was a real quality and pride in many of these homes; many of the old fixtures are still serviceable due to the quality put in them. Of course updating is inevitable; still it will require the plumber to make that “house call”!

    I do enjoy visiting my customer’s homes and getting to know their family, I have seen many of them from the cradle to college graduates, it is a nice feature to the plumbing trade, the old fashioned “house call”, I know, if only the prices were old fashioned!
